Activity 2


Activity 2: In this activity you will need to locate and identify 3 of the most common and important native plants, shrubs, and trees. A plant is defined as a green stemmed (herbaceous) living organism consisting of roots, a stem, and leaves. A shrub is a woody perennial, smaller than a tree, usually with several stems. A tree is a woody, self supporting perennial plant usually with a single main stem and generally growing more than 20 feet tall.

In the space below list the following:

  • The common and scientific names of 3 plants, 3 shrubs, and 3 trees
  • Approximate location where they were found
  • Brief description of each
