Read the descriptions below and complete only one of the two options: Option One: Sidewalk Map Choose a section of a sidewalk that is exactly 20 feet long. Create a detailed colored map on plain white 8.5" X 11" paper of the sidewalk section that includes the following: • A scale (example one inch = two feet) • A legend illustrating any features on the section. • Exact location of all major sidewalk features (cracks, weeds, holes, etc.) • Location and description of any unusual features (puddles, dog poop, etc.) • Show curves, drops and gains in elevation, and slopes. • Indicate which direction north is. Option Two: Map Research Use all the resources available to you including the internet and Churchill's library to locate as many different types of maps as possible.
