Rooms B-4, B-5 and B-1 participated in the world wide live show, with 3 of our 5th graders answering our 3 questions...What was your favorite part of Rock Our World?, What is something that makes you smile? And, how has Rock Our World affected your 4th and 5th grade experience? It was an awesome experience for all.

To quote one of the students as we concluded,

“I am just SO pumped.”

How Rock Our World started at Chavez:

In the fall of 2011/12, my students and I had the opportunity to participate in an amazing Global Collaboration project called Rock Our World. The video above was a culminating product that came out of the project. We made garage band tracks, studied about food and sustainability and most of all built a solid classroom community. At the end of the year I asked the kids what we should keep doing in 4th grade and unanimously they said Rock Our World...and garden.
