Twist Tag
Setup and Equipment:
  • Demonstrate the Twist (Chubby Checker)
  • Choose four "its" and give each a yarn ball
  • A mat in front of each of the four walls will be a five second base for the players.

 

Rules:

  • Students may start the game on a mat (base).
  • The taggers start in the center circle.
  • Start the "Twist" music.
  • Tagged students must stop and do the twist in the spot they were tagged.
  • They can get back in the game if another student does the twist (mirrors with them) for a 3-5 count, then, gives them a "high ten" to complete the untwisting.
  • Play for 1-2 minutes, then pick new "its".
