Pickle on Scooters

Setup and Equipment:

• Students move on their scooters from one mat to another and try not to get tagged.
• If they are tagged, they may pick up their scooters or roll to the pickle jar (center circle in the gym).

• Free Rollbacks: (Note:In the regular Pickle Tag game students get free walkbacks)

• Players get out of the pickle jar when another player - comes to the center and these two students hook elbows back to back (with one partner moving forward and the other backwards until they reach a mat).

• Play continues for 1-2 minutes or the length of a song depending on the grade level
• New "its" are picked when transition music (i.e. Jeopardy Theme) is played.
• Those old "its" hand their taggers to someone sitting on their scooter on the line designated as the "new it" line
• The old "its" now start the game at the mat in front of the opposing wall.
• Play continues until all players complete their turns as "its".
