Line Hockey
Setup and Equipment:
  • One hockey stick per student
  • One ball (or puck)
  • Players are spread out in 2 lines facing each other. This line is also the goalie line.
  • Each player is standing in numbered order (they must know their number).
Rules:
  • The teacher calls out the number of two students on each team, they meet in the middle.
  • Players that are not called to the center stay in the goalie line.
  • A goal is scored when the puck (or ball) goes past the goal line, that the goalies are standing on.
  • Players are given one or two minutes to score a goal
  • At the end of the time the teacher will count down from 10 seconds.
  • Goals must be below shoulder height to count
  • At the end of the designated time, old players return to the goalie line
  • Two new numbers are called, players meet in the center
  • Variation: Call two, three, or four people from each side and they play as a small team.
