Dribbling Drills:

  • Single Hand: First right only, then left only.
  • Crossover Dribble: Right to left, then left to right.
  • Through the Legs: Step forward with the opposite foot. Then bounce the ball on the floor under your leg. Practic back and forth dribble.
  • Around the World: Dribble with right hand around back, let go and twist to the left and continue around using the left hand. Switch hands in front and continue this pattern.
  • Free Dribbling: Dribble while moving through the area. Change hands on signal or when you get close to someone.
  • Line Dribbling: Dribble the ball on the lines of the gym.
  • Dribble Train: Each team dribbles around the gym and follows the leader. The leader must avoid running their train into another train. When the teacher says, "Rotate", the leader moves to the end of the line and next person in line is the new leader. If anyone loses their ball, they can continue dribbling but must go the end of the train. Continue until all students have been a leader.
