Basketball Station Rotation
Introduction to the Four Games:
-
Each wall is set up to accomodate a basketball game that includes all of the members of a color team (6-8 students)
- Wall One: Guard the Pin: has a foam target and basketball or playground ball.
- Wall Two: Quadball Station
- Wall Three: Triple Shot Basketball
- Wall Four: Group Juggle
- Team of players are set up at the corners and lines outside of a four square floor design.
- The first player passes a ball to someone across from them (Note: not next to them unless the last player)
- The second player passes the ball to someone across from them.
- This continues until everyone has the ball at least one time.
- It is important to remember who passes you the ball and who you will be passing to.
- REMINDER: Do not watch the ball - watch the person that passes you the ball.
- After your team can successfully pass the ball in a continuous fashion, the starter may add another ball.
- Additional balls can continue to be added as long as the team is successful.
Activity:

After a teacher led demonstration of each game, each color team starts the activity that is on their color team wall.
- After three to four minutes at each game/activity the teacher indicates that this game is over and the teams rotate clockwise to the next wall.
