This is my Portfolio Page on this page I will have some of my projects and reports from this class
This is theReport that I did A while ago I know it doesnt look finished but I had to finish it by hand.
Video Game Technology
The topic I chose For this Report is Video Games. We have come a long way from the stuff our parents knew like the slinky and etch a sketch, So step into the future.
Probably the oldest hand held game system is the game boy it is about the seize of a piece of paper and has a black and white screen. At the time of this game boy there weren't many games.
The next system is the Game Boy Pocket it still has a black and white screen but the only difference was the seize it is more compact and small Though there is a downside to this new revelation, the screen was smaller and the buttons are small and cramped. It is about the same seize of a light switch panel.
My favorite of the hand held games is the Game Boy Color you can probably figure out what it does though. It can make ordinary black and white games full of color. If you use the games for the normal game boy you can choose what color you want to play. Now there are Games that only work for the game boy Color. The seize of it is very moderate it is a bit bigger than the Game Boy Color so your not so cramped.
The most advanced of the hand held systems are the Game Boy Advance (GBA). Instead of holding it vertically you hold it horizontally. it is not very tall but length wise it is about the seize of a game boy Color. There are also two new buttons available, the L+R buttons these are usually found on the ground systems, But I'll get to that later. The GBA has its own game cartridges which are smaller than the past game boys' but the GBA can also play those.
Now Were going t talk about the floor systems(unhandled and usually hooks to your TV)
The Nintendo is on the bottom of the technology web. Like the old Game Boy its graphics are very desolate but it does have color( unless you own a B+W TV). If you start up a game like Super Mario Brothers, Mario looks very blocky (not curved) Compared to the Mario on systems today. The controllers are just a box about 6 in. long 3 in. wide and 3/4 of an inch l thick. The games are cartridges about 2x bigger than a floppy disk.
The more advanced Super Nintendo Also Called SNES has better graphics it uses 16 bit color so it is alot more colorful than the Nintendo and the game cartridges are alot smaller making it easier to store. The controllers are are alot easier to handle than the Nintendo's box Version. There is only one down side to this new configuration: too many buttons there are the normal buttons then there is the L+R like the GBA then there is the X+Y buttons ,these are for using magic or I items on some games. You cannot use the old Nintendo games on it nor the game boy games, But I would still recommend this system.
One of my favorite floor systems is the Nintendo 64 or N64, it uses a 32 bit color scheme and it is 3D the controllers have a variety of buttons used for different things. There's the C buttons usually used to strafe or move,Z button usually used to crouch or lock on, the analog stick used for looking and/or moving, The D pad used to get certain visions or move (Depends what game you have), L+R buttons are used to block and use map, And finally the A+B buttons are action buttons you use them to change you weapon or open doors. The controller shape is my favorite and I think its the easiest to handle, it is shaped like a cursive "e."

What i did on mothers day was i got up watched some TV while cooking my mom breakfast then when i was done i watched some more TV and then my mom and i went out to lunch at Dairy queen we brought it home and i watched a movie with her. i haven't really given my mom presents but i have made breakfast in bed for her a couple of times and helped her in the yard and plant plants i bought a jalapeno plant and i bought her a fusha pot.
Responsibilities
Some responsibilities that I do are taking out the trash and putting the new toilet paper rolls in the cubbord and once i do that i do my homework then finally once i have finished that i may be able to watch TV. sometimes if the bathroom is dirty then i have to clean it with one little scrubbing bubbles wipe pad on everything. Then I have to empty the dishwasher but i don't have to fill it but i do sometimes when my mom is loafing.
Summer Jobs
Last year i tried to get a job in lawn mowing but i couldn't because i go so many Places over summer but this year i am going to to try to wash cars and detail them for 5 bucks more So if i wash 4 cars a day 80 dollars a day. My goal is to get an Xbox and get about 3 games altogether that is about 350 dollars so i better save up i already have 200 saved but my dad says I should have some leftover money from when i buy my Xbox
Summer Vacation
This summer I am first going to go to a camp where i will earn a license to use a rifle and a shotgun then i am going to go to a baseball camp and after that I think I may be open for the rest of the summer who knows but I know I am at least going to see my cousins and grandparents. Normally i go to Idaho in the Summer but I don't know if I am going to go this year. My best summer was probably last summer..........well all of the summers really because I don't have to be cooped up in school all day long for nine months.
These are some facts I learned about the earth while creating my earth day poster
Earth Day Facts
#1: Educators and students can get ready for Earth Day by measuring the health of local water resources. Earth Day Network has prepared a comprehensive guide to water quality, with suggestions for citizen action on a local and global scale.
#2: On Earth Day 2003, Earth Day Network will launch a two-year campaign highlighting critical water access, health, and usage issues, illustrated by the Ten Thirstiest Children on Earth. The campaign aims to garner political will, inspire individual action and mobilize necessary resources to improve access to healthy water.
#3: About 20% of the world's water supply is used by corporations - at least half of that is wasted. Earth Day Network challenges the private sector to conserve water and reinvest in community development.
#4: Forests are the lungs of our planet.
They purify the air, protect our water and soil, and are a
critical habitat to millions of animals and plants.
#5: Forests are the lungs of our planet.
They purify the air, protect our water and soil, and are a
critical habitat to millions of animals and plants.
By destroying our forests, we are losing our most reliable
ally in the struggle with global warming, floods, droughts and
soil erosion.
#6: About 4 billion trees are cut down every year. Between 1990-95, there was a net global forest.
