Greetings Parents:

  • We are starting the 2nd semester. That means we have a new gradebook; the slate is clean. It's time to set some new goals to get homework turned in on time, improve the quality of our homework, apply what we've learned, and do our personal best!

  • Endangered Animal Projects: Students will be bringing their animal project notebooks and information resources to and from school each day these next few weeks so they can put their notes into the appropriate section of the notebook (habitat info goes in the habitat section; why it's endangered goes in the section on why it's endangered.) Focus on the notes related to what it looks like and its special features that help it survive (adaptations) this week, then go to habitat notes. We're going to start writing our introductory paragraph this week. So, if you want to help, then help them get those notes into their notebook, and let them write the report at school.

  • WriteSite - Personal Narrative : More than a handful of students need to complete their final drafts of their personal narrative in WriteSite. They will have very little time at this point to complete this in class. If you want them to stay after school & finish it, I'll be available this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for an hour after school. I sent an email with instructions how to complete this at home for those who have an internet connected computer available. You do not need to print it.
