These are the periods that I meet with other teachers, parents
and students and prepare my lessons. I am out and about the building
alot during these times. If you need to talk to me during one
of these periods please feel free to drop in. To be sure that
I am there we should make an appointment to meet.

Study
Skills
period 1

This class is designed to provide academic support for students
with their general education classes. As we work with students
we reteach key concepts, imbed test taking and study skills instruction
and provide individualized tutoring. I also teach goal setting
and Computer Based Study Skills. This is a year long,10 credit,
class.

Consumer Math
period 2
|
Consumer Math will teach students how to apply the basic skills
of multiplication, division, addition and subtraction of whole
numbers, percents, decimals and fractions to real life applications
such as money management, home improvement, shopping, banking,
purchasing and maintaining an automobile,and travel.This is a
hands-on course that teaches the principals of biology, geology
and chemistry as they relate to the natural resources in our geographical
region.This is a year long,10 credit, class

Science period 6 |
General Science is a hands-on course that teaches the
principals of biology, geology and chemistry as they relate to the
natural resources in our geographical region. I co-teach this class
with Amy Nicolaisen. It is a year long, 10 credit general education
class. |

Pre-Algebra
period 7
|
Pre-Algebra is designed to prepare students for the general education
Elements of Algebra course. We cover number theory, fractions,
a review of decimals and percents, order of operations, exponents,
variables, andbeginning algebra. Students work independently at
their own pace. They are provided assistance individually. Up
to 10 credits may be earned in this year long class.
