SPRING BREAK TASK HAND-OUT DETAILS:

SPRING TEST: THURSDAY, APRIL 2:Booooo! Hisssssssssss! “I Hate That!!”
PREP DIRECTIONS FOR AP SPRING BREAK,:
There are 3 elements to the test given (on the 2nd blue day of our return) after spring break. Part A is a memorization quiz on the era’s and anchors for the entire course…
Part B is a scan-tron quiz on the first 2 chapters of unit 9 (chapters 39 & 40) from the American Pageant, and part C is a memorization quiz on the Presidents. The 3 elements will have 100 points of combined grade value, the same overall weight as a unit test or DBQ. Like DBQs, these scores can NOT be dropped but our attendance incentive policy does apply to this test.
NOTE: The exact point value of each part has not been determined yet but part A (the era & anchor test) will have the most value, part B (the reading quiz) will have the 2nd most value, and part C (the Presidents names) will have the 3rd most value.
For your convenience, here are duplicated working copies of the prompts you can expect to receive for this test…
---------------------------------------------------
PART A:
ERA LISTINGS AND MAJOR DEVELOPMENT “CHUNKS/ANCHORS” FROM EACH ERA:
Directions: Please list each of the era’s and the corresponding “chunks/anchors” as they were identified previously in class hand-outs (in sequential order).
Note: This list should duplicate the era order and listings provided previously in class. The chunks/anchors should simply be listed under the correct era without concern for the order of each chunk.
----------------------------------------------------
PART B:
SCAN TRON QUIZ:
Directions: Use the scan tron form to mark the best response to each of the questions that follow. Note: Consistent with the AP exam, incorrect responses will receive a penalty (minus 1/3 point) on your overall score. Be sure you can eliminate 1 or more option if you are guessing about the right answer.
-------------------------------------------------
PART C:
PRESIDENTS SONG
Directions: Please list each of the Presidents of the United States, in order, as they were identified previously in our class hand-out. Please be reminded that Tippecanoe is not one of the President’s names!
