How much do you know about your hometown? Joining this class will allow you to gain a better understanding and appreciation of where you live. This activity class will provide opportunities to explore our community in a variety of ways. We will learn about the geography, ecology, and history of Eugene and the Willamette Valley. Activities for this class will be varied, including walking field trips to observe the local environment, interviews of local residents, and reading about the history of Eugene. We will also help maintain a healthy environment here at school by participating in things like litter clean ups and spring gardening. We will end with a culminating project, providing a creative opportunity to show others what you have learned.
